Ready, Set, Shoot
Once locked up at home it has become very challenging to make content, since there’s been no one to take picture of me, no studio lights and no one to photograph the product. Here are a few methods I came up with in order to take photos all by myself.
1. Remote Control
All you need is:
- Yourself
- A stable station for your smartphone
- Remote for your phone
- Good Lighting
Good day light is the key – it makes selfies look better, and golden light can take any photo to the next level. Do your research before and figure out what do you want to capture, what poses to take and what to wear. Once everything is arranged, set your phone at a right angle on a stable surface (if you don’t own a tripod, you can use a stack of books, wall, candle – anything to lean your phone on). You can use a remote control for your phone to shoot pictures, or you can simply set a timer on your camera if you are taking pictures of yourself.

2. Digital Art
You will need:
- Photoshop (or similar software)
- Bunch of photographs and artworks
- Patience
In this case, creativity and patience are necessary. What I am suggesting might not be your cup of tea, but give it a try – paste yourself or desired object into a different image and create a digital collage.

3. FaceTime Photoshoot
You will need:
- A photographer
- Good internet connection
- Well thought through setting
Basically, it all works through FaceTime or a Skype call on the phone. Prepare background, outfits, make up, hair and call the photographer (or a friend) on a videocall – while you are posing on one end, he or she will be taking screenshots on the other. We have done this already, and it is easier than it sounds, you can see the results on our Instagram ♥
